Handle control security lock 729X

With their outside handle, locks with handle control offer an ideal combination between access control and escape route functions.

These locks feature both an inside and an outside door handle for opening the door. The spindle hub is split so that the door is operated differently from the inside and the outside.

The inside handle is permanently attached to the lock mechanism and thus enables the lock to be drawn back and the door to be opened from the inside, ensuring that people can always leave the building or area.

The outside handle is disengaged, i.e. operating the outside handle does not unbolt the lock and the door can therefore not be opened.

The lock is actuated by connecting the operating voltage 12V DC or 24V DC (depending on the version), e.g. via access control, switching timer, the building management system etc. In detail, this means that the outside handle (outside handle follower) is connected with the inside handle (inside handle follower). If the outside handle is now actuated, the bolt and the case are retracted or the double action latch becomes movable, and access from the outside is possible for authorised persons.

The model 819 comes in versions that comply with EN 179 and EN 1125:

819-/819L: EN 179

819E: EN 1125

There are also two modes of operation:

Fail-locked mode lock has zero power, outside handle decoupled, outside handle does not work

Fail-locked mode lock has power, outside handle coupled, outside handle works

Fail-unlocked mode lock has zero power, outside handle coupled, outside handle works

Fail-unlocked mode lock has power, outside handle decoupled, outside handle does not work
